Hiya! I’m Eve, and I’m a staff writer at Real Homes. I’m here to bring you on-trend news pieces, product round-ups, and styling inspiration. I live in a rented Victorian terraced house, and enjoy making it shine with pieces that are both beautiful and practical. When I’m not writing, I’m walking around local beauty spots, nestling into a book, or diving into a cheeseboard (I’m a total cheese fiend!).

My niche
The art of the finishing touch. From pops of personality to useful additions, small pieces can make a big difference. I also love fragrance and creating relaxed atmospheres with gorgeous scents.

Why listen to me?
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in journalism, along with an NCTJ gold diploma. I have been an editor across various lifestyle magazines and have developed a keen eye for detail and style and know what people are looking for now and what they’ll be looking for next.

About my Real Home... 

It’s very Scandi! I’m all about bringing the outside in, with soft colors such as dusky pinks and sage greens, wooden and rattan textures, plus plenty of natural prints and decorations. 

My fave home buys
The first piece of furniture I bought for my house was a bargain chaise lounge from Aldi. It’s so comfortable and adds such sophistication. I also love The White Company’s winter diffuser — it’s my favorite all year round, as it lasts forever and smells incredible.

On my to-buy list 

I’m currently decorating my bathroom with a nautical theme, and I'm after an adorable crab basket for storing miscellaneous items.
